UBI

Please enter a UBI:

This system provides additional information held by the States of Guernsey Mapping Service Team for each element of the property.
Each building element has a Unique Building Identifier (UBI) and should be typed in to find the property.
GIS and Address Locator users will find the UBI by clicking on the "i" button and looking at the attributes of the building.*
*N.B. if the building TYPE is an Apartment Block it is possible that it is made up of many elements. In this case a UBI probably relates to just one of many stacked building elements, which combine to make up the main building. Care should be taken to understand how elevation attribute values of each segment are presented., i.e. the overall height of an apartment block would be calculated by deducting the base elevation of the ground floor apartment, from the ridge elevation of the top floor apartment.

Base elevation: is the approx. height of the land at the base of the property.
Eaves elevation: is the height of the eaves. This may differ at various points of the building and is a measurement of one point.
Eaves height: is the difference in height between the Base elevation and the Eaves Elevation.
Roof plan area: the area at eaves level of the element of the building as used for TRP purposes.

The above is provided as additional information for your business should it be of assistance.
The States of Guernsey and Digimap provide no warranty to its accuracy and you need to take your own measurements or employ a surveyor in order to gain accurate measurements.
